I suggest the book “Magnus Chase and the Sword of Summer” because of a few reasons.
The book is educational and teaches many different facts about Norse mythology. The book is also funny and interesting, and brings you in to a world of legend and myths with modern characters re-writing the history of the world and changing the future, all quite literally.
The book starts in Brooklyn with a teenager named Magnus Chase, who is a homeless kid that sleeps under a bridge only with a sleeping bag. The story progresses as he learns that he is a demi-god, son of a Norse god that is hundreds of years old. He fights giants, wolves, and many of their minions with his friends, learns facts about history that he does not want to know, befriends a sword that belonged to his father, and apparently dies (a couple of times).
